Connected with the Environment

On Wednesday, 7th March 2018, The vocal and drums group performed at the opening of an art exhibition consisting of works produced through various projects and activities by international students, at Pionirski Dom in Ljubljana. The vocal group started off proceedings with a rousing rendition of a Coldplay song, they were followed by the drums group who gave a typically thunderous performance.  After this, there was a short introduction to the exhibition. Then students, parents and teachers enjoyed and discussed the impressive artwork on show. Mr Boris Beja, who organised the exhibition and the director of Pionorski Dom, and Mrs Vika Potočnik commended our performers and artwork.

Today we had the Erasmus+ club. We have started the 2nd unit of our project – Relationships. Our first task was to compare our feelings and relations in the group on the beginning of the project to now. Every small team did the mind map or table compering before and after.    After our thoughts we noticed that we became more harmonious in the group. Everyone know each other now and   we started to be more sociable. Most of us became more brave and we can easier make new friends. It’s mainly merit of exchange witch gave us many new experiences. The funniest part of our today’s classes was giving functions to the members of our group. The boss was of course our teacher Mrs. Joanna. Exchange in Lublin At the end of the first module of “Connected with the Environment” project we had an incredible exchange in Lublin , Poland (19 th of March – 23 rd of March). The aim of this exchange was to summarize all the work in the 1 st module “History & Culture” and to integrate with students from other countries. The theme of the meeting was local legends. We created completely new legends using the elements of the history we had learned from each country. We wrote some scripts and did some props and costumes. It was very funny. We did it very well. The other important thing was to present the outcomes of each school. We learned something about partner schools. We also learned some new facts about other countries, who are taking part in our project, and their traditions, history and culture. On the 12th of April 2018 , there was a wonderful cultural musical theatre “Enci benci Katalenci” performed by Katalena, at Cankarjev dom, for our school community. The group managed to merge various idioms of popular music with the legacies of Slovenian folklore culture. The band was full of energy and their adrenaline rushed from the stage into the audience. Without holding back, we can say that we all had an excellent time.
