We looked up to differenct websites like Komeko or City of Lublin. This project have to be directed to a grup of people where we will show how our city cares about the environment.

Action segregation - MSP Paderewski

Let's get more eco-friendly! Grade 6c from our school decided to enter our project with their green initiative connected with rubbish segregation. They prepared labels for existing bins and instructions on how to segregate according to the latest regulations: into paper&cardboard, plastic&other materials, bio leftovers, glass and mixed rubbish. There were also presentations in all classes to raise awareness about this issue and educate our friends from school. During art lessons students were also creating different figurines from recycled materials. What do you think about it?

WEDNESDAY 17/4/19

WEDNESDAY 17/4/19 Today, we completed a survey regarding our ecological consciousness. Also, we finished the poster about the city's actions in being environmentally friendly. Luckily, most of the members of the Greek Erasmus Team are here today, so we're able to work on more things. The students that traveled to the Greek island of Spetses and were not here last time, are here now and they brought photos with them! Elena and Konstantinos presented on the CGS Open Day on Saturday and they brought photos with them too! Lastly, we will not be uploading next Wednesday and the Wednesday after that because of our Easter Break! Happy Easter and thank you for reading!😃 The Finished Poster  Elena and Konstamtinos on the CGS Open Day! Elena and Konstamtinos on the CGS Open Day! Writers: Lida & Melina

Our initiative: STOP plastic bags and disposable plastic packaging

On Friday, April 12th, CRO project’s eco-team conducted a couple of workshops   to raise ecological awareness.   The main title was:   STOP plastic bags and disposable plastic packaging. Eco-team has displayed educational facts on the board so the students and the guests could inform themselves about plastic noxiousness in general, especially about the negative effects of disposable plastic packaging on the environment. To set an example, they were handing out linen bags instead of plastic ones to all students who have participated in the workshops. The linen bags were sewn by students who attend extracurricular activities in the school. Some of the bags had the school motto stamped on it ( “Prva je prva“ or “First is the first” ) and some bags were blank so the students had the opportunity to paint them themselves. Furthermore, students were watching short educational movies about plastic pollution and the negative effects it has on plant and animal life.  In t

Leaflets with rules and guidelines.

Our last two sessions were fruitful! During our last two meetings we were preparing brochures with guidelines to change our habits so that we all are more eco-friendly. We used our results from carbon footprint calculator to make them more personal.  It was also an opportunityn to use a new software! Canva is a very useful tool to create leaflets, posters or brochures and also to free your imagination. Some of us were making those posters in English and other people were making them in Polish in order to inform our Polish schoolmates about some rules how to be more eco-friendly. Our teacher will print them and we will put them  up . We hope that our schoolmates will appreciate our work and some of them will change their everyday habits for eco ones. WEDNESDAY 10/4/19

WEDNESDAY 10/4/19 We're almost ready for the presentation that is going to take place in our school this Saturday. Most Erasmus students went on a school field trip in the magical island of Spetses, so we weren't able to do anything important today. Luckily, everybody will be here next Wednesday and we will continue our lessons. See you then! The island of Spetses. Writers: Lida & Melina

PLASTIC BAGS BAN

On 28th of December 2018, Slovenians heard some exciting news. Our government decided that all plastic bags in stores need to be paid for!  This was great news because we have to start saving our planet now and not in 10 years, when it’s too late. I think it’s a great way of making people aware of how important recycling plastic bags is. Most people are already supporting complete ban of plastic bags, except the ones we use to put our fruit in because the’re necessary. But if, in the future, we will be able to find an alternative for them, we will completely ban them too. A Possible Space for Planting at ISC We at ISC value ecology and we are planing to create a plant garden in a few of the school's unused property. This space can be valued and can be used for the school community as learning to plant and care about plants (such as salad and other crops), to be in contact with nature. As we are the Erasmus+ group we have the need to report and to support the project that our Environmental group is taking care of here at ISC. We hope that this project will be helpful and will provide a learning experience for the students, but also add more color and life to our school garden. As we are carrying out this project we think our school will improve in terms of ecological matters, schools learning qualities and respectful terms regarding nature.

CONTINUING THE RESEARCH & CGS OPEN DAY

WEDNESDAY 3/4/2019 Today, we continued the research we started last Wednesday about sensitizing people to be more eco-friendly. Elena & George began rehearsing for the presentation they will deliver on the CGS Open Day, next Saturday 13/4. The CGS Open Day is a day on which the groups of our school present their purpose, actions and progress so far.  On the CGS Open Day younger children get to try many activities and older students can participate in voluntary actions and also try many activities. Thank you for reading our blog!😃 CGS Open Day poster. Writers: Lida & Melina
