The Varaždin Baroque Evenings (Croatia)

The Varaždin Baroque Evenings
The Varaždin Baroque Evenings  is a classical music festival held annually in the city of Varaždin, Croatia. The festival, first held in 1971, showcases Baroque music and is usually held in late September and early October. The majority of performances are held at various venues around Varaždin but some parts of the program also took place at churches and castles in nearby towns.
A number of Croatian and foreign soloists, opera singers, and philharmonic orchestras performed at the festival. In addition to music concerts, in recent years the festival also hosts various baroque-themed cultural events including art exhibitions, book presentations and gastronomic events. Three prizes are also awarded at the end of each festival edition: the "Ivan Lukačić Award", the "Jurica Murai Award" and the "Kantor Award".

„ Town of Angels“
Under red Varazdin roofs and in the corners of the town, little sky guardians found their peace. They came to Varazdin because they were tired and they decided to relax in the north of Croatia. The legend says that angles sleep in our little town. In December, in the most beautiful part of the year, when Varazdin is decorated with thousands of lights, angels are excited and they wait for the good people. They wait in the secret corner of the town called „Andelinjak“. „Andelinjak“ is placed behind the Francisan church and was made by  Zeljko Prstec – a famous painter from Varazdin who created and set up „A museum of angels“ in our town. He was born in 1950 and his guardian angels led him to find his calling. He is painting angels all his life. He has been developing his artistic projects and made the legend that angels sleep in Varazdin. So, if you look carefully, you can find them everywhere. On the main square, behind the churches, on the buildings and other places in town. You will find statues of little angels hidden somewhere in the center of our town.
I think it's really awesome to have a hometown where you can feel protected by your guardian angels and just feel the spiritual connection with God.

Preparing for Velden vist

Today was a very busy day for Polish students :) We had to prepare some gifts for our Erasmus friends, but the process went quite smoothly. It was a lot of fun as we could also see some organisational differences between them and notice that everyone has our own way of putting the stickers onto the eco- notepad. How do you find our gifts? Boys vs girls

ERASMUS / Module 3 / Not getting hurt online / Paul and Thomas

Thomas and myself worked on this special part of the third erasmus connected with the environment module. At first only myself (Paul) completed the module, but later on Thomas joined in, as he himself did no longer have any work to do. Together we wrote down a skript, which we were going to present to the whole MYP in our school. And so we did! At first the skript was overviewed by one of our teachers, to see if there was anything missing, but then we were ready to go. In addition I created a poster to hang up in our school building. This poster represented the most important facts about using technology and the harms it has to be online/on social media. A total of 5 posters were hung up in our school and greatly appreciated by the students as well as the teachers.
