Unplugged in Ljubljana

On 26th of April we had a day without electronic devices. Our students created posters of different kinds. They were about nature and about protecting it. Each student also created a hand made out of paper. On the hand students wrote about how they are helping Earth and about things everyone should do. We joined all hands into a beautiful exhibition showing Earth and our hands supporting it. Students seemed to have a lot of fun on Unplugged day.
The theme was Earth day which was a few days earlier. We didn't celebrate Earth day on 22th of April because we will celebrate Earth day on the last day before holidays. Earth day was about protecting Earth and taking care of it's environment. Because of humans, species of animals and plants are disappearing and that effects on biodiversity, climate changes and our natural sources. Humans destroy habitats and a lot of animals lose their home which has bigger effect on a global scale.

GTI Event in Carinthia happening in Module 4 Meeting - iSC

This event happens every year around the end of May, in which people from all around Europe come to visit Carinthia (especially Velden, near the lake of the Worthersee, close to our school) for a meeting of GTI Golf Volkswagen. Basically, people (mostly youth) who own a Volkswagen Golf take part in this wordwide best-known GTI meeting, in which GTI fans are welcomed with a spectacular programme and accompanied events to celebrate this event. PLASTIC BAGS BAN

On 28th of December 2018, Slovenians heard some exciting news. Our government decided that all plastic bags in stores need to be paid for! This was great news because we have to start saving our planet now and not in 10 years, when it’s too late. I think it’s a great way of making people aware of how important recycling plastic bags is. Most people are already supporting complete ban of plastic bags, except the ones we use to put our fruit in because the’re necessary. But if, in the future, we will be able to find an alternative for them, we will completely ban them too. UPDATE

WEDNESDAY 20/03/2019 & WEDNESDAY 27/03/2019 Last Wednesday, we finished making the leaflets about sensitizing the world and changing our habits in order to be more eco-friendly in both Greek and English. Today, we continued our research concerning the cites' engagement in being eco-friendly and we decided the form we should present our results in.
