Preparing for Greece :)

Hello everybody! Before the start of our winter break, we held our last meeting. We finished all the tasks from the 3rd Module and we are looking forward to traveling to Athens. In order to prepare for the trip, each student had to make a short presentation about Greece. We learned a lot of information about Greek history and culture. The presentations were about Greece, their gods, food, Athens, Olympic Games… We are ready to go 😃.   We can't wait to see you all in Greece.  Happy holidays to all of you from Croatian team!

Day without technology in Croatia

On Thursday, the 29th of November, we had “The Day without technology” at our school.  Our eco team went around the school and made some videos and interviews with students and teachers to find out how they feel. As we could see, most of our students have accepted to spend a day without technology. All of the students agreed that they talked much more to each other that day and played some games together for the rest of the time instead of looking at their mobile phones.  Teachers which are actively using technology every day in their classroom had many problems that day. They said it is easier to present a new lecture with technologies like smart-board, tablet or overhead projector. It is faster, more visible and easier to present. Without any technology, teachers had only the blackboard, chalk and paper at their disposal. Some students said it was great to see the way how their parents were taught at school.  The day without technology was a great e...

Day without technology

Today on Erasmus classes we w ere making posters advertising our “Day without technology” event. Everyone has done at least one of them. On every poster there were information about when it is going to be, what are the rules and what can you do instead of using electronical devices. Here are some of this ideas: •  Read a book •  Play board games with your friends or family •  Do you homework earlier at school, so you have more free time at home •  Draw something •  Try to make new friends And a lot more… After the event, everyone will write  a letter with his personal experience on this action. Then our teacher will send them to someone of you out there, so you can get to now how it worked in our school.

What we expect from erasmus this year

This year in erasmus exchange we expect to meet people from different cultures and countries. We expect to make posters about internet etiquette and how to behave online. We expect to do many team building games to get to know people. We expect to make a good survey about how much and what technology people use and get great results. We expect to update and upload various things to the Project Journal. We expect to interview certain people about their views on technology. We in general expect this to be an amazing learning experience and we expect to have loads of fun. This year we expect to learn about the technology in different schools and their opinions on technology.  We expect to ask them, how much technology they use, and how they behave on the internet and how they use technology. This trip will be fun and interesting to find out how other schools work and how they use their computers. We will make posters about people's etiquette, and a questionnaire on technology in g...

Austria- Working on the Module 3 A19 Objective

Austria (ISC)- Working on the Module 3, A19 Objective As part of this objective, we had to outline how the use of technology brought benefits in the learning life of a student, as well as the teachers. In order to accomplish this, we made a digital survey which we sent to all the homeroom and classroom teachers of our school (all together it was 15 teachers), asking them about how they used technology to structure and benefit their own work as a teacher.  We also asked to write a sort of "lesson plan", in which they had to describe how they used the help of technology, or if they did include technology use in their lessons. It was important to know what they personally though about technology used daily by students, and how it may have an affect on a students' learning. So far, we have been getting 9 responses out of 15, but answers from teachers are continuing to be received.  Apart from the survey, we also wanted us (as students) to see how we used technolog...

„Technology in everyday life”

On 14th of november we were ending our projects of "Technology in everyday life". For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXtsOM_onbE&feature=share To do this project we were doing a lot of photos and films to do a presentation about technology for example: we were doing photos of phones computers friges elevators and more... Idea of this project was about to show us that technology isn't only electronic devices like computers or phones but projectors, elevators or microphones.

Working on Module 3

Today we had a conversation about the program we are going to follow when we will host our friends from the other countries, participating in the Erasmus+ program. Then we talked about which students will travel to Austria in May. We decided that we should set a list of criteria concerning the dedication, commitment and productivity. Most of the students completed their letters describing one day without technology and they are eager to mail them to you.  Students writing their letters Maria, Ioanna and Melina completed the poster establishing rules for the netiquette to avoid hurting each other online and they are happy to share it with you!!
