Exhibition of Varazdin's painter Miljenko Stancic (Croatia)

Cultural Event in the town Varazdin:
Exhibition of Varazdin's painter Miljenko Stancic

The Gallery of Arts is situated in the baroque mansion Sermage in the centre of the town Varazdin, at the square named Miljenko Stancic. In that Gallery, during 2017, the exhibition of the Varazdin’s most famous painter—Miljenko Stancic, took place. His most famous paintings were exhibited at the Gallery. Also, with this exhibition, Varazdin celebrated 90 years since painter’s birthday, and it marked 40 years since his death.
Miljenko Stancic was born in Varazdin in 1926, where he attended the 1st Elementary School (the one we attend today). He held his first exhibition at the sport’s gymnasium of our school when he was a pupil in the 3rd grade. After his secondary school, he got his education at the Academy of Arts in Zagreb, where he thought himself as a professor.
He is a very important painter for our town, as his whole life he painted panoramas and sights of the town Varazdin, marking our town for the eternity.  His paintings are very easily recognizable because he painted figuratively—which means that we can see the scenes from the everyday life on the streets of Varazdin on his paintings. He never used a lot of colours, usually several tones of brown, orange, yellow, or green. He is famous for his tonal painting. Further, he is one of the key modern Croatian painters. Besides the scenes of the town, he painted different phantasmagorical paintings—which means that he painted displays as if he painted dreams, something unreal, flying children, for example.
This exhibition was one the most important cultural events for Varazdin that year, and many pupils and citizens visited and saw the display. During the time that the exhibition took place in the mansion Sermage, two concerts took place during Varazdin Baroque Evenings, which is famous festival during which one can hear the baroque music. The audience enjoyed the concert, as well as the Miljenko Stancic's painting at the exhibition.

Conclusion On Netiquette

For the Erasmus 2018~2019 project, we made two posters about internet etiquette “Netiquette”. We made two of them, because we are an international and national school, which is why we created them in two languages, Slovene and English. The top three rules that we found, and thought were the most important are: 1.  Do not reveal your personal data, choose your password wisely and make it complicated. 2.  If you wont say it in real life, do not say it online. 3.  Think twice before posting a picture, because anyone can see it. In conclusion, by making these posters, we learned from them that you should be careful with social media. Especially, how you behave and what you post.

Letters from Day without technology

Hi everybody! Today we had the Erasmus + class and that one was really cool. We did a lot of things. Firstly, we got letters with opinions about the day without technology from people from other countries! We loved reading them. Secondly, we have presented our projects about threats of technology in our everyday life. Our group did a poster in Padlet and both students and teacher liked it. That’sall for today. Hope to meet some of you on the exchange in Greece. Bye!
